Vintage split bamboo fly fishing rod. 9 ft in length consisting of 3 sections. Rod has been totally reconditioned with new line guides and sizes set in accordance with today's standards. Pictures 8 through 11 are the before pictures.
The manufacturer is South Bend, Model 55 - 9'. I suggest fishing this rod as a 6/7 weight (9', 3, #6/7). The rod's South Bend sticker wording Bait Company was changed in 1955 which indicates the rod was made prior to 1955 not quite an antique but getting close. Give this vintage split bamboo fly rod a try I know you will absolutely love it.
