A Singer Model 99, used by the Navy during WWII on small battle ships and submarines, dated April 1st 1942 with just about 100,000 made.
This portable sewing machine, serial number AG406322, manufactured in Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA, in 1942. It’s a sturdy ¾-size cast-iron straight-stitch machine, built with the same precision and reliability that made Singer
Condition:
Machine is fully functional and makes really strong stitches. Motor runs smoothly. The light works. The handwheel and needle move freely. Foot pedal and wiring are all original. The wooden bentwood case shows some wear and scratches from age but remains solid. The finish on the machine is the textured “crinkle” black paint, which is in good vintage condition.
