Authentic antique cast iron balance scale manufactured by the Detecto Scale Company of Webb City, Missouri. This early equal-arm apothecary / laboratory scale dates to approximately 1908–1922, prior to Detecto’s widespread shift to dial scales.


Features a heavy sculpted cast iron base with original black finish, steel balance arms, and dual round metal pans. Raised Detecto casting and original foundry code are present.


Historically used in pharmacies, laboratories, and schools for precision weighing with loose weights (not included).
