Late 1800s Early 1900s Antique English Oak Biscuit Barrel with Porcelain Lining and Silver Plated Shield on Facing. Biscuit Barrels were also sometimes used as Tobacco Jars as the Porcelain Liner kept contents fresh. Measures 7” H x 5-1/2” Diameter. The Bottom of the Wood Barrel has some bowing that I couldn’t represent in pictures. The Porcelain Liner has Enamel Cracking and a Chip on the Top. Has Been Displayed on a Shelf for Over 20 Years.
