Antique Original LVL Cast Iron Floral Candle Holder Cake Ring 1920s Spring
In great condition with wear consistent with its use and age. Such a cute piece!!
1920s cast iron cake ring with candle holders. The cake ring is in 4 sections. There are roses, daisies, mums and other florals painted in beautiful pastel colors.
Use 3 or the 4 pieces for 2 different size cakes.
On the back of each section are the initials "LVL" which are the initials of Lulu Lavell who filed for the patent in 1922, in connection with the Candlestick Company located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In addition to the "LVL" initials are the markings "PAT PEND", indicating that this particular cake ring was likely made in 1922 or sometime shortly thereafter.
The cake ring would add a special touch to any celebration, whether it be a birthday, Sweet 16, Easter, Mother's Day, etc. It could become a family heirloom and tradition that is shared with generations to come.
