The APC SMX2200HVNC is a backup power system that keeps servers, storage, and network equipment running when the mains fail. It supplies up to 2200VA, or 1980 watts, of pure sine wave output, so even sensitive electronics continue to operate safely during an outage.

The unit relies on a line interactive design that smooths out minor voltage fluctuations without drawing on the batteries, and it supports 208 to 230 volt input and output, making it a natural fit for standard data center power distribution.

A chassis that converts between rack and tower orientation lets you place the UPS wherever space permits. In a rack it occupies 4U, and its short depth frees up room for cabling, making it practical for shallow closets or edge deployments. Add the supplied feet and it stands securely beside a desk or inside a network room.

Eight IEC C13 outlets and two IEC C19 outlets power a mixed environment that can include 1U servers, high current switches, and other rack appliances. If longer runtime becomes important, you can attach compatible external battery packs to keep critical workloads alive for hours instead of minutes.

A preinstalled network management card provides a web interface, SNMP support, and integration with PowerChute software, so you can check load levels, schedule maintenance, and trigger orderly shutdowns from anywhere in the network. A temperature sensor that ships with the unit helps you keep an eye on rack conditions without buying extra accessories.

The included battery recharges in about three hours and is hot swappable when replacement time arrives. The UPS carries a three year warranty, and the battery is covered for two years, giving you predictable protection for your power investment.

The box contains rack rails, detachable power cords, a USB cable, and the management software, so you can put the UPS to work right away in a branch office, small data center, or any location where even a brief power interruption is unacceptable.
