This is as Art Deco/ Mediterranean as they come! A beautiful, collectible piece of history! Art Deco vase by Charles Catteau for Boch Freres Belgium, who came to fame in the Paris Exhibition in 1925. It has a beautiful white crackled background with four panels of yellow, orange, cobalt blue, and turquoise flowers. The bottom features the Boch Frères official factory mark, as well as the "D" number, D.944. It is 9" tall
In great shape with no real visible wear . It’s been in a china cabinet for over 20 years, non smoking home. On the inside there is some darkening that looks like it was actually used as a vase to hold flowers. I didn’t use it that way , but I did purchase from a thrift store many years ago so don't know the history. I just used as accent piece.
If you Google Image it, you will find some examples from Boch Freres shown on sites lite Cherish, Rubylane and Silence for well over my listing price. Loved this piece for well over 20 years
