Built for rock salt. Chapin's 82400B professional rock salt broadcast spreaders is designed to handle inconsistent and large particulates like rock salt. The 100-pound one-piece poly hopper is supported on a rugged stainless steel frame. Its solid linkage gives you full gate control and the stainless "guillotine" style gate cuts through clumps to keep the salt moving smoothly. A spiked auger minimizes clumping and improves product flow. The gears are enclosed with a grease fitting to protect it from harsh winter weather and the front and side baffle system gives you edge control. 14-inch pneumatic tires cover just about any terrain. Snow/rain cover is also included. Made in the USA with global materials and backed by Chapin’s limited lifetime warranty.
