Offered is a vintage, discontinued pattern, bone china, salad bowl crafted by Coalport, England. The bowl features a lovely multi-colored floral pattern, Ming Rose, consisting of pink, yellow, and blue flowers over a white background. This exquisite bowl is slightly flared outward from bottom to top and has a pedestal-like base. The rim and base are trimmed in gold. Production years were 1970 – 1993. It is in beautiful vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Note that there appear to be three short (3/4 inch) lines of what appear to be glaze crazing at the Coalport backmark. (One above and two through the backmark.) Also note that there is a small “smudge” of gold to the right of the backmark. Diameter of the bowl is 10 1/8 inches and total height is 4 ½ inches. The base has diameter of 4 7/8 inches.
This would make an excellent addition to a collection, or a replacement piece. It could also be part of a unique and fabulous mix-and-match set.
