The material uses water-repellent synthetic leather to prevent the initial entry of water. The gusseted tongue prevents water and snow from entering, and the use of waterproof glue and water-repellent thread also prevents water from entering through the stitches. The outsole features a grip that grabs the ground, even on slippery surfaces.
