The PosiTest by DeFelsko is a high-quality, easy-to-use instrument for measuring non-magnetic coatings such as paint, enamel, plating, and hot-dip galvanizing on steel. It features a rugged housing and durable design, and is not affected by mechanical shock, water, acid, or solvents. The PosiTest can be used in many places that electronic instruments can't go- such as underwater or in explosive environments. The PosiTest is easy to use- simply place PosiTest on the coating to be measured, roll the dial wheel forward with your index finger, and depress the visual indicator. Once the visual indicator remains down, use your index finger to slowly turn the dial wheel in the opposite direction, until you hear a click and see the visual indicator pop up. At this point, read the coating thickness on the scale. The PosiTest is precisely balanced to be unaffected by gravity, and can be used in any orientation. Each PosiTest comes complete with leather pouch (with belt clip), wrist strap, instructions, Long Form Certificate of Calibration traceable to PTB, and a two year warranty.
