Antique Eilat Stone brooch from Israel, made in 935 Argentium silver.
The beautiful stone is top faceted, which is very unusual, and the setting was custom made to set this beautiful stone off perfectly. The greens are just stunning, and the pattern is just gorgeous. There is a long surface scratch across the top of the stone, and there is a small crack in the stone that can only be seen under magnification. the stone, however, is safe and secure in the very tight setting. It is not unusual for cracks to appear in this stone, and the stone setters took this into account when designing the brooch. This stone is quite a bit larger than most Eilat stones I have seen, and it is just gorgeous!

Eilat stone is the national stone of Israel, where it was mined in the city of Eilat. It is also known as King Solomon's Stone, as it was allegedly discovered in the copper mines of King Solomon.
