This beautiful piece of art by Ensco is entitled “Gentle Sprit ” & was made in Taiwan as a Limited Edition in 1987. It is number 576 of 2500. It plays the Christmas carol repeating many times over “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” using a wind up key on the bottom of the box. The music box works perfectly!
This highly embellished lacquered wooden box is protected with satin finish laminate. The beautiful Christmas Angel doll inside gives earthly form to the angels of Christmas. She has a beautiful porcelain bisque face & hands & a halo of golden hair that frames her face. She is wearing a satin white gown trimmed in gold braid & holds a banner that says A Merry Christmas.
This piece is in beautiful VTG condition but please see all photos as part of description. There’s a very small indentation on the top right front edge which is only into the lacquer & barely noticeable. ( SEE LAST PHOTO) There is some sort of writing on the bottom.
