This is a set of six salad or dessert plates from Federalist Ironstone in the Montego pattern. These plates feature a pop art medallion like flower with surrounding leaves. The avocado, green colors on the beige yellow background are definitely 1970s. This particular pattern is fairly rare.
This vintage dinnerware was made in Japan for the U.S. retailer Sears Roebuck & Co. during the 1960s and 1970s.
These plates are in excellent condition. They show virtually no sign of wear. There are no chips, cracks, or utensil marks. There may be a few light scuffs here and there from the storage, but you have to look hard to find them.
They measure 7 1/2” in diameter.
