This basket is handwoven from sisal (cactus) fibers after squeezing out the cactus juice. The sisal is intricately wrapped around grass or banana leaf. Traditionally given as a gift to symbolize a long and happy life, this highly collectible basket was handmade in Swaziland from Sisal fibers gathered from the sisal plant.
It is a great statement piece in your home and also functional (ideal for holding jewelry, keys, or fruit - a perfectly stylish catchall!) It can also be used for decorative purposes, such as hanging on your wall.
Each basket has a loop on the back for wall hanging.
