BEAUTY IN THE CHAOS:
This hand-painted sweater of a hannya (Japanese female demon) is surrounded by waves, cherry blossoms, and a lovely bloomed peony. Next to the demon is the word "chaos" inscribed in classic kanji print. The theme for this piece is beauty in the chaos, signifying that even among intense chaos and disorder, there is still always beauty to be found.
For this piece, I used acrylic paint with fabric medium so that it is pliable, perfectly wearable, and washable. With that being said, I highly recommend washing it on a delicate setting and allowing it to air dry or alternatively, taking it to your local dry cleaners. The paint is sealed with a water and stain repellent coating spray.
