AUSTIN TECH ENERGY has developed a large selection of small form Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries which are specifically designed as drop in replacements for standard BDI Group Size lead acid batteries and battery banks. LiFePO4 batteries represent an advancement in safety due to cell design with advanced battery management systems including under and over voltage, over discharge, over current, over temperature, and short circuit protections which ensures safe and efficient operation.
LiFePO4 batteries are designed for 8,000 Cycles at 30% DOD, 5,600 Cycles at 50% DOD, and 3,200 Cycles at 80% DOD.
Charging: Designed to work with AGM chargers, but LiFePO4 charger is highly recommended.
Advanced LiFePO4 cell design includes various safeguards including high temp thermal fuse, flame retardant additive and pressure relief valves.
