Rare awesome pair!
This candlestick is often the crown jewel in many collectors’ cabinets. They are large, pronounced candlestick that demands attention. This is made of Vaseline, or Canary, glass, a more yellow color compared to other, more modern uranium glass pieces. It was a more popular color before the 1900s when glass makers began to shift from the canary yellow to the greener hues we see in 20th century lines.
This piece was made by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There is conflicting history on the production of these candlesticks and there’s not enough room in the description here for it.
Candlestick measures 10.5” high and 5” wide.
