The speaker driver used is a 3-inch wool paper cone woofer with an inset mounted 0.75″ PEI dome tweeter. By sharing a common acoustical center point, the concentric woofer and tweeter design maintains coherency through the crossover transition region. The unique curve of the woofer cone serves as a horn waveguide for the tweeter, resulting in improved off-axis dispersion characteristics. The COVO-S employs a ported enclosure design, generating modest bass output for a warm sound signature. A 6dB/octave crossover makes for a smooth transition between the woofer and the tweeter.
