Pico 0003-SS 54 Piece Solder Seal & Heat Shrink Electrical Assortment Terminal Kit in Plastic Kit Box. Make strong permanent connections with Solder and Heat Seal Terminals and Connectors. Solder melts giving a strong bond and Adhesive Lined Polyolefin Heat Shrink Tubing melts, flows & shrinks providing a completely sealed connection. For Butt Connectors strip ends of both wires and insert one wire completely through connector. Fray wire strands of both wires, intermingle & overlap ends. Carefully slide wires back through connecter, centering in middle of fluxed solder ring. Crimp both ends of barrel to hold wires in place while soldering. For Terminals insert stripped wire into Terminal Barrel. Translucent insulation allows for visual inspection of correct wire placement. Slowly & carefully apply heat (300°F) to fluxed & pre-measured solder pellet, or solder ring. As solder melts continue to apply heat to insulation sleeve allowing internal adhesive to melt and flow into voids as outer wall shrinks. Upon cooling a strong, vibration & corrosion resistant, and watertight connection is achieved.
