This helmet bag is made from a unique, textured nylon called Super Nylon, which is dyed. Super Nylon is a very elaborate material, made from undyed ki-bata (white fabric) and then dyed with a special indigo-containing dye. After-dyeing of synthetic fibers like nylon is a time-consuming and laborious process, but the time and effort put into it results in a denim-like unevenness of color and puckering that you wouldn't expect from nylon, creating a vintage-looking bag.
