R&F Encaustic White Beeswax 1-pounds has been decolorized by mechanical filtration, making it less reactive to pigments than chemical bleaching. The wax comes granulated, making it easier to measure and melt. You can use Beeswax as the prime ingredient, along with damar resin, for making your own encaustic medium. You can also use it without resin, but the surface will be less hard, less polishable, more dust-attractive and have a lower melting temperature. White Beeswax can also be used to give an initial priming coat to your panel or paper for encaustic.

  • Chief Component for Encaustic Paint: Ideal for encaustic painting, providing superior quality and performance.
  • Gentle Filtration Process: Decolorized by mechanical filtration, preserving wax integrity and reducing pigment reactivity compared to harsh chemical bleaching.
  • Granulated for Ease: Comes in small, easy-to-measure granules for smooth melting and precise application.
  • Low Odor: Features a naturally low odor for a more pleasant crafting experience.
  • Versatile & Eco-Friendly: Perfect for a range of uses including crafting and candle making, with 1 lb, 5 lb, and 10 lb bags available.
