Advantages :
1.Easier Installation comparing with mounting by brackets
2.Tight fit against the working surface without the gap made by mounting clips, flush end to end installations
3.Avoid scratches on the metal enclosure by the clips
4.Precision fit for groove mounting .

Restrictions
You cannot assemble the lights away from the installation area and if you want to move the fixture ,you need to take out the strip firstly
Steps for a DIY Lighting Project
1.Measure the width of the strip ( make sure it is not oversized in the channel ) and test it
2.Trim the channel and cover to a required length by hacksaw or other devices .
3.Screw the channel into the working surface (2 screw is enough for 3.3FT but 4 makes it more tight), flush channel end to end for extension
4.Peel off the sticky at the back of the strip ,lay the strip in the channel
5.Slide the cover into the slot (If not work snap the cover from end to end ) ,fix the end caps if needed
