TROLLEY through the Countryside by Allison Chandler

A RARE first edition of this UNIQUE and still definitive history of the FIFTEEN interurban trolly lines existing in the Kansas City, Missouri area, Kansas, and even Oklahoma in the late 19th and early 20th century. Published by Sage Books, Denver, Colorado, 1963, the book has 384 pages and includes more than 150 photographs and diagrams relating to these trolly lines. This IS an ex-high school library book and was only checked out twice (once in 1969 and once in 1988)!. The book is a clean and tight hardcover with dust jacket protected with a mylar plastic cover is in very good vintage condition. It is a valuable source of local Kansas and Missouri history.
