Large mid century Italian ceramic coin bank of the beloved Peanuts character Lucy van Pelt was handmade and painted in Florence. Coin slot at top. Original rubber stopper bottom. Stamped underside. Approx. 9” tall, 4.5” widest point. 1968 by Quadrifoglio and United Feature Syndicate. PLEASE NOTE: a chip on the underside edge of skirt (see detail photo). Otherwise very good from smoke free storage.
Brought into the spotlight by Marc Hill’s investigation into the mysterious “flower painter” for Alla Moda, Milvia and her Il Quadrifoglia (four leaf clover) studio produced whimsical hand painted ceramics in the 60’s and 70’s. This was a rare collaboration with a character franchise.
