Vintage hand-carved wooden figurine depicting Hansel and Gretel standing together. Gretel holds a large pretzel while Hansel stands behind her with his arm around her, a classic folk-art interpretation of the fairy-tale pair. Carved from solid wood with a warm natural finish and detailed facial features, clothing, and base.
The carving measures approximately 8–9 inches tall (see photos). It is unsigned, but appears to be mid-20th-century folk art in the style of Bavarian/Black Forest tourist carvings.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with light surface wear from age. No cracks or repairs. The carving is sturdy and displays beautifully. Please see all photos for details.
