All functions, including recording (internal microphone, external microphone), playback (speed control, normal/2x mode, pause, V.O.R), and tape counter, have been tested, adjusted, and cleaned.
The sound quality of recording and playback devices is greatly affected by the rubber belt used. Inexpensive Chinese-made products are sold, but they are not uniform in width and thickness, causing rotational irregularities, sound fluctuations, and unpleasant sounds.
Genuine parts are no longer available for this old model.
This product uses a custom-made (equivalent quality to genuine parts) product from a Japanese specialist manufacturer.
